Did ya miss me, Big Brother fandom?! Happy to be back after a two-week break :) There’s a lot to talk about, so let’s get into it.

Very similar to earlier in this season, I didn’t happen to post last week for Big Brother due to traveling! Sorry to my very large fanbase that checks up on my posts haha. Thanks to the wonderful Paramount Plus, I was able to catch up on the episodes. At this point, I should be sponsored by that app.
Feel free to skip forward to the more recent week! Here are my takeaways on week 8 (episodes 25, 26, & 27) of Big Brother:
Regarding Joseph’s eviction… that seems like it’s the first time where a player’s speech may have convinced another housemate to keep them. Does Kimo have an emotional headlock on the other players!?
Quinn is now an emotional mess. Although, I don’t know if it’s just for show…he’s had two pretty brutal HOH weeks. Where two of his close allies have been sent packing! That’s enough to put an emotional toll on a Big Brother player.
In my opinion, I thought that the HOH competition in which Chelsie won was pretty easy. I was able to correctly answer all the questions just based on watching the “Ding” camera myself. This is also the third HOH competition where it’s been all about retaining information based on videos/pictures. In conclusion, it wasn’t my favorite.
Chelsie says he sees Cam’s game strategy… flirting with the other gals. That definitely won’t come back to hurt him… right!?
Chelsie putting up Angela and Kimo is… fine. It’s kind of repetitive as a fan but it’s safe as a player.
More and more these players are downplaying Angela. While she isn’t the obvious threat at the moment, she has slowly been building her resume. Winning HOH, winning competitions, getting people to use the veto on her, etc. She is going to coast her way to the end at this rate.
What a bummer for the iconic Otev veto competition haha. I wish it lasted much longer.
While Angela’s paranoia is chaotic…Dare I say, it works?! She was able to manipulate Chelsie with the paranoia of Quinn and Leah teaming up with the trio.
Glad that Julie is okay recovering from COVID! Although, I personally loved Jerry O’Connell as the guest host. He’s comedy gold and will do a great job stepping in considering he’s already a fan of the show.
It’s wild that Julie hasn’t missed a live show in all of these seasons! Major shoutout to her and that consistency.
As we know, Quinn is put on the block (due to his own untrustworthiness) and sent home. I found that everyone was kind of content with that decision. Everyone besides Leah of course… who finally likes him back. That’s terrible timing for him haha. He was a decent enough threat socially, physically, and strategically to get evicted from the house.
With that, it brings us to week nine. Then with week nine, it brings us to Jankie world! As we found out, Jankie is all about fun… all the time. Jankie was not kidding. Some of the players seriously looked like they were going to commit crimes when they found out they would be stuck outside all week. I don’t necessarily blame them either.
I think the worst part was only being able to eat pizza and ice cream. After a little, that has to make you feel so… blah.
Here’s the thing, it was funny at first. However, it kind of got old really quickly. I tried to spend the whole week figuring out what the actual purpose of this twist was. With AI Arena being gone, are they just looking for a new twist to make it up to the fans? Are they trying to cause chaos among the contestants by forcing them together under not-so-favorable circumstances? Is it just for comic relief? What were your thoughts on Jankie world?
As for the HOH competition, it was a breath of fresh air to see an endurance competition. I am going to give props to each contestant who played in it too! The eliminations ranged from 28 minutes in to about nine hours in. All very respectable efforts in my opinion!
The fact that Angela made it over 9 hours was super surprising. I would have never guessed that and she’s the gift that keeps on giving. I know some players were annoyed that Angela was negotiating… I thought it was a great idea. You can ensure your safety while building trust/social status in the game. I was not mad at the gameplay at all.
Leah, who said she needed to ensure safety/gain power after losing her number one ally, came through in the clutch. She rarely budged after all the time standing up there…almost as if the marshmallow was glued to the wall haha. Happy that she finally won but it’s a real shame that it came during Jankie week. Therefore, she doesn’t get the reward of it as much haha.

I do think Leah was way too easily convinced to place the trio on the block (Rubina and Kimo). Without even thinking about the other possible options. To be real, we should credit Makensy and Angela for influencing her heavily. I was under the impression that Leah and Makensy were drifting… especially since Makensy just voted out Quinn. However, there were no grudges held there.
Obviously, Rubina and the rest of the trio think this situation is the worst-case scenario. However, I mentioned this on my new TikTok account, but it seems like they kind of just threw in the white towel. They could have talked more strategy with Leah and instead just gave up. Possibly pointing the finger at the other strong “trio”. That being Cam, Chelsie, and Makensy. They accepted their fate and it was a bummer to see.

Although, Angela wished Leah put T’kor on the block instead. She’s got a great social game and hasn’t touched the block once. Honestly, I kind of agree with Angela. She even took matters into her own hands by saving Kimo with the power of veto! Which we will talk about the competition in a second. Using the power of veto on him sort of mends that relationship and allows for the person she was targeting to be put up.
The power of veto competition was a fun one! I like puzzles because it’s a challenge that truly puts each competitor on an equal playing field. Considering that none of them has ever seen the puzzle before. Angela’s talking-out-loud strategy proved to be effective too! It helped her gather her own thoughts and it also distracted others.
Leah winning the Jankie HOH is just another dagger for the trio. It felt like any of the conversations the trio had following this was… hopeless. Kimo tried to point to other competitive threats (A.K.A. Chelsie) but it didn’t come to much. Especially after Leah’s attempt to activate the Jankie veto was pitiful.
Do you think she lost the mini-competition on purpose? Maybe she didn’t want to put further blood on her hands with Cam and Makensy.
It goes without mentioning… Jankie is still continuing to torture them and Cam is ready to fight the fake A.I. robot. Lots of groaning, screaming, and psychotic laughter.

Leah and Angela announcing the veto meeting from the porta-potty was undeniably funny. Especially with how tense the moment was for some of them. I mean T’kor and Rubina both crying at the result of that meeting just proves that point.
Into the live eviction episode where Julie has made her return! This season has had a record-setting nine times in a row where the veto has been used. This also means that T’kor is the record-setting ninth replacement nominee. Just goes to show you how effective the gameplay has been during this season. It’s a compliment to the cast, producers, and the gameplay!
It does lead to a pretty grim scene where people’s dreams are being crushed and others are forced to be the bad guys. It’s especially ironic in a happy, fun Jankie world. Which it became more clear throughout the episode that T’kor was going to be the person getting her dreams crushed.
Before getting to the eviction, I wanted to talk about the Cam vs Chelsie beef! I can see how you can argue both sides. Cam is getting flirty with the other women which would could very easily disrupt her trust with him. However, it does feel like there is jealousy (due to attraction) from Chelsie. Almost as if she is trying to gatekeep him in a way. Who is in the wrong here!?
Then with a 4-1 vote, T’kor was evicted from the house. It’s a tearful goodbye due to the very strong relationships she’s built with Kimo and Rubina. It also might be due to the fact that she had a convincing resume to possibly win this game until this week. Despite having a rough HOH week, she conducted great blindsides and she was a great competitor. Even though I found T’kor to be quiet at moments, each player complimented her on her social game too.
Though, I am happy to see her as a part of the jury. She will bring a certain point of view that I don’t think others will have.
What I didn’t get is why they decided to show us the first couple of seconds of the next HOH competition. I loved when we were able to watch the Wall HOH competition on the live feeds a few weeks ago. Similarly, they should have just given us something like that again rather than teasing us fans.
I won’t complain too much considering it looks like Zingbot and Double Eviction Night will make a return! Talk to you then :)
