We are seriously getting down to the nitty-gritty of this Big Brother season! We are a few mere weeks away from the finale and only a handful of the players remain. This week brought a lot of drama and fun competitions.

I am going to keep this blog short due to being in a time crunch, so let’s get into it. :)

Beginning with the HOH competition, it was funny to see all the different strategies used throughout the hour they were allotted. Angela wanted to put pressure by submitting hers quickly, some of them focused heavily on the base of their tower, and then you had Cam… doing I don’t know what. It seemed like Cam had no fight to win this HOH. I mean he spent more time side-stepping and dancing than building the tower.

Makensy on the other hand was giving her all! Her work in construction lets her know that the base is the most important part… so she uses that knowledge to her advantage. Which eventually led her to an HOH win.

I am happy that the houseguests are back in the house. They were subject to literal hazing for a week. Also… Rest in Peace, Jankie. You could tell the editors/producers were having fun with this one.

What I found really interesting this week was who everyone is targeting! Makensy makes it very clear that she won’t target Chelsie or Cam. Rubina and Kimo want to go after Leah. Which, I understand a little more because she just got T’kor evicted. I felt like Leah and Angela were the only ones truly focusing on getting out a major threat.

In terms of Makensy’s HOH week, you could tell so much that she was entirely focused on jury management and keeping everyone happy. So much so, that it seems like she completely disregarded making strategic or effective gameplay moves. You could see this with how she was talking to everyone and who she picked to go see the Wild Robot movie. Also, with who she put on the block… the same old combination of Kimo and Angela.

I think you have to ask yourself… who is the threat to win the game?! Chelsie checks all the boxes right now and she would have my vote undoubtedly. If she gets to the end, she should win in a landslide. She’s built both social (Rubina, and Kimo) and strategic (Makensy, and Cam) relationships in the game. She’s won multiple HOH’s and for some weeks she has dictated who gets eliminated. For example, this week Chelsie was able to single-handedly convince Makensy to put up and eliminate Leah. Someone who has never targeted Makensy once and probably would never! Chelsie is seriously getting whatever she wants.

At a point, you have to start pointing the finger at the people next to you. Especially considering you are running out of time! Chelsie even mentioned at a point to Makensy that the jury will respect you making big gameplay moves. She’s exactly correct… That’s why they should target her A.S.A.P.

It was cool to see Zingbot make his return! Considering it is the first season I have watched, it’s cool to see Zingbot in action. Even if some of the roasts are a little corny. Most of them were playful banter. However, I do think Chelsie got the worst of it when she was called out for never having a chance with Cam. It was so awkward haha. That’s because it is knowledge that isn’t out in the open for everyone to know! Whereas Tucker and Rubina… everyone knew about that. That was a tough watch.

However, I did catch Cam hugging Chelsie and said, “You do have a chance!” Very interesting! Do we ship these two or see it happening?!

I think the most creative roast was the song written about Angela! While it was being sung to everyone, Angela was laughing/singing along and taking it like a badge of honor. All to then just cry about it in Angela fashion a few minutes later. There is seriously nobody like Angela. She is one of one.

Shoutout the Wild Robot movie because I see their movie being marketed everywhere and I thought it was genius to have them a part of Big Brother too.

In saying that… the POV competition seemed very difficult. I would get to a point where I am just guessing the sounds and the buttons just like some of them did. That might have been the hardest competition of the season. Shoutout to Makensy for winning another challenge. She should probably be labeled as the “competition beast” at this point.

By the way, It might have been an all-time moment of the season when Cam said, “I wish I had my own Roz at the crib.” This is in regard to the watching of the Wild Robot movie. It just made me laugh out loud.

Then as we know, she saves Angela to put up Leah. Props to Chelsie for manipulating that vote exactly how she wanted to.

Unfortunately, that move would lead to Leah’s demise. It is kind of a shame that her game fell apart the first time she was put on the block. It just shows how quickly this game can change! She was coasting through this game until this week. Her fatal mistake came when she tried to strategize with Rubina… who she had targeted the week prior. Obviously, Rubina was going to have some vengeance to get Leah out. Then she noticed that she made a mistake in not targeting Chelsie. I think she just got scared to make a big move! She also didn’t help herself by not being able to activate the Jankie veto in the week prior.

Double Eviction

Similar to how I talked about Zingbot, I loved seeing the double eviction live and in action! It’s a fun staple for all Big Brother seasons and it seems like it can shake up the game.

However, I did kind of find this double eviction to be a little anti-climactic. Especially with the nominations being Angela and Kimo for what seems like the hundredth time this season. Though, I do get how there is very minimal time to strategize with it being a live episode. I just found that a little boring.

Let’s start with the HOH competition! While this competition is like the 5th one that is all about retaining information from videos, sounds, or pictures… it did make for a good showdown. The questions were pretty tricky this time around too. I thought Chelsie was going to run away with it but props to Angela for making it a battle. With Angela losing the HOH, I think that sealed the deal for her to be eliminated.

After she won the HOH, it looked like she was having one-on-one talks with each player when it cut to a commercial. I am hoping and assuming that they will show those during Sunday’s episode.

Then literally we jumped right into the Power of Veto competition where Kimo absolutely cooked and destroyed the competition. Good for him! He can save himself off the block. I feel like he’s been fighting to win one of these competitions all season long and he finally got it done.

It was pretty evident by Chelsie and everyone else that Angela was the target after the HOH competition. I wonder how much of a pre-determined decision that was. Maybe Angela was going to be one of the next couple of people to go no matter what. Despite it being double eviction week.

Then in classic Angela fashion, her reaction to it all was amazing. Laughing, crying, screaming, hugging, etc. It was a crazy beautiful exit from the game of Big Brother.

It is sad to see two pretty iconic players leave last week. Especially, saying goodbye to Angela. She was television gold and made for the game of Big Brother. I am happy that they both made the jury because they deserve it. We will see if anyone else will be able to fill that hole in the following weeks!
