Welcome to my creative, awesome, extraordinary, totally original blog. My name is Alec Burns! I am very glad you found my page. It means that either you are one of my friends/family members who I sent this blog link or you actually are a diehard reality game show fan like myself. If you are a friend/family member, what’s up. If you are the diehard fan, you’ve come to the right spot. The diehard fans will know that there is never truly enough talk about these shows. The conversation can always continue. That’s what this blog is for! Let’s keep the conversations going about our show. Think of me as the guy who watches way too many of these shows but loves to continue talking about them.

Growing up my family would very often watch Survivor and The Amazing Race together. Which, by the way, are my clear two favorites that I no doubt follow the most. During that family time, I fell in love with these game shows and found myself locked in on my television whenever they were on. Though heading to college, I got busy and didn’t have as much time to catch up on my favorite shows. Now my wife and I are unfortunately washed up alum, trying to figure out ways to entertain ourselves. This basically means we are on a schedule that allows us to stay up to date on all the reality game show drama.
I’ve always had a passion for writing/storytelling and I was trying to figure out what’s the right way to continue doing so after graduating college. Being able to combine that with my enjoyment of reality game shows seemed like the perfect fit. If you know me or see any of my X/Twitter posts, you will know that I am extremely passionate about Survivor. The drama, the gameplay, and the physical demands that the show takes are enough to take my top spot. I could go on and on debating why I think it’s the best show of all time. Though, I will save you time. Also, I very well could be biased considering it’s the show I have watched for the longest time.
I might have also applied to be on the show… still waiting for the call haha.
Here is a little more about me: I got married to my stunning wife Lauren around a year ago and she is the absolute best. She still tolerates me even though I dictate what’s on the television 90% of the year.

I am a massive sports fan too. Whether it’s football, soccer, baseball, or hockey… I am all for it. Even though I am more of a spectator nowadays, that idea of competition is something I thrive on. Sports and reality game shows do share that fiery competition aspect in ways too. On my X/Twitter you can find me talking sports a lot too.

I love going to the beach, working out, listening to music/podcasts, attempting to play golf, and spending time with friends/family. Also looking to possibly add a golden retriever puppy in the future?!
So what can you look forward to with this blog?
Well, I recently published my season premiere blog on the Bachelorette. You can read the 3 part blog on my page whenever you want! Then with the second episode airing later tonight, you can look forward to another Bachelorette blog coming in a few short days. Also, Big Brother is set to start later this week and you better believe I plan to cover that too. Even if I don’t have as much of a background on that particular show. I’ve seen the buzz regarding the new season all over my social media and look forward to intentionally watching this new season. You can expect those blogs to be published sometime in the few short days after those episodes air as well. Then once the fall comes around, shows like Survivor and The Amazing will keep me busy once they start airing again.

There are plenty of other game shows that I haven’t mentioned already that deserve the love and support too. For example, The Traitors (which I just watched season one) or MTV’s The Challenge. If people want to read about it, I can happily put together some blogs. There will sadly be times when none of our favorite shows are running. Yet, with that dead time, I could use it for some niche writing projects of sorts. I’ve got some ideas planned, but if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.

I do want to make one very important disclaimer for readers of this blog. I am not a reporter! I am a blogger sharing my thoughts, opinions, and predictions on the latest reality gameshows. The goal is that this blog could be a way to engage with more fans of these shows and continue a conversation about it! I would hope readers would comment on their thoughts or even reach out to me.
Who knows how this fun, random project will turn out? If anything, I hope you all just enjoy reading and listening to me ramble on about our favorite reality TV drama.
